If you are searching for this article, you probably have already purchased your hosting plan with us and now you need to add your website to start working on it. Adding a new website to your hosting service is very simple and can be done with just a few clicks.
Step 1. Log in to your WPX account
You can log in to your WPX account here.
Step 2. Navigate to your hosting plan
You can either find your hosting service through the navigation menu or within your dashboard. Once you log in to your WPX account select My Services (1) → WordPress Hosting (2).
Then you will see all of your hosting plans with us. When you find the one you want to manage, click on the orange button Manage service.
Step 3. Add a new website to your hosting service
Once you reach your hosting plan management panel, choose the Manage Websites (1) menu. You’ll be taken to a page where you can see, manage, and add new websites to your account.
All you have to do is click on the + Add New Website (2) button and fill in the required information.
Step 4. Fill in the information to add the website to the hosting service
You can select the type of website that you are adding using the type drop-down menu.
There are 3 available options:
Top-level domain – normal website (mysite.com)
Sub-domain – Creates a sub-domain for the selected website (subdomain.mysite.com)
Alias – Creates a domain used only for redirecting to the selected website. (can be any domain you own)
If you want to add a subdomain of a website that is not hosted with WPX. You can do that by selecting the Top-level domain and typing the name of the subdomain.
For example blog.example.net.
In the Domain name section, you need to add your website.
You don’t need to add anything like HTTPS://, HTTP://, www, or other. It should be plain as the example: newwebsite.com.
You can also choose to install WordPress on this website in the process. When you are done with the information that you want to add, you can select the blue button Add Website and the process will begin automatically.
You will receive a message that your request has been added to the Automation Queue, and you can see your website being added at the moment.
While the process is ongoing, feel free to roam to any of the other menus if you have something else to do – that will NOT interrupt the process. You can close the message by pressing the X on the right top corner of the block.
Once the website is added you will receive a pop-up notification in the top right corner.
