In this article, you will learn how to change the password of any of the wp-admin users for your site through the database of the site.
Step 1. Log in to your WPX account
You can log in to your WPX account here.
Step 2. Navigate to your hosting plan
You can either find your hosting service through the navigation menu or within your dashboard. Once you log in to your WPX account select My Services (1) → WordPress Hosting (2).
Then you will see all of your hosting services with us. When you find the plan that you want to manage, you need to select the orange button Manage service.
Step 3. Open phpMyAdmin
Now that you’re in the Hosting Panel, select the Databases (1) menu. Here you’ll see the name and size of the databases for each site on your account. Then click on the phpMyAdmin button (2) :
Step 4. Change the user’s wp-admin password
Once you press the phpMyAdmin button, you will be redirected to another screen where you can see all of the databases. First, you need to select the database (1) of the site where you want to change the wp-admin user password. Then you must find the wp-users (2) table, select it and click the Edit button (3) next to the user:
When you press the Edit you’ll see a new window where you can see all of the user’s settings. Here you need to fill in the new password (1) and must select MD5 (2) from the drop-down menu on the left of the password field:
Once you’ve filled in the password and selected the MD5 then all you need is to go to the bottom of the page and select the Go button:
