How can I set a Two-Factor Authentication for my WPX account?

In this article, we will guide you through the process of setting up a Two-Factor Authentication for your account.

Step 1. Log in to your WPX account.

You can log in to your WPX account here.

Step 2. Navigate to your hosting plan.

You can either find your hosting service through the navigation menu or within your dashboard. Once you log in to your WPX account select My Services (1) → WordPress Hosting (2).

Then you will see all of your hosting services with us. When you find the plan that you want to manage, you need to select the orange button Manage service.

Step 3. Choose a Two-Factor Authentication method.

First, you need to go to the Security settings of your account:

Once you are on the Security page you need to click on the “Configure Two-Factor Authentication” button:

Then you’ll see the two 2FA methods:

Step 4. Two-Factor Authentication activation.

If you want to know how to enable the Google Authenticator, please check this article. In this example, we’ll check on how to enable the “Email MFA” 2FA. By pressing the Activate button you’ll see a page where you need to fill in a one-time code for activation to be completed:

Here you can click on “Send one-time code via Email” if you want the code to be sent to the email with which you registered your account:

Once you fill in the code you’ll get a message in your admin panel and a second mail that the activation is successful:

Please note that you can have only one method active at a time. To switch, deactivate your current one and activate the other.

That’s it! You’ve successfully activated the chosen two-factor authentication method.
