Cronjobs are one of the few things that can throttle and slow down a whole server.
You have likely experienced a slow loading time with your old hosting, one of the reasons to be a cronjob running every 10 seconds.
On top of that, most of the applications’ default cronjob timer is unnecessarily low, which is another big issue. To prevent that here at WPX Hosting, we have restricted the cronjob access to our users, but this doesn’t mean you can’t add any.
