How can I set up the LiteSpeed Cache plugin on my website?

LiteSpeed Cache for WordPress (LSCWP) is an all-in-one site acceleration plugin, featuring an exclusive server-level cache and a collection of optimization features like Free QUIC. cloud CDN Cache, Object Cache (Memcached/LSMCD/Redis) Support+, Image Optimization (Lossless/Lossy), Minify CSS, JavaScript, and HTML, Minify inline & external CSS/JS, Combine CSS/JS, Automatically generate Critical CSS, Lazy-load images/iframes and many more.

Essentially, caching is the fast, temporary storage of recently or frequently used information. Storing this information in the cache allows for much faster data retrieval.

In this article, we will guide you through installing and configuring the LiteSpeed Cache plugin step by step.

Step 1. Install LiteSpeed Cache.

Before we start the installation, make sure you have disabled and uninstalled any other caching plugin(s) to avoid any potential errors after activating the LiteSpeed Cache plugin.

LiteSpeed Cache can be found in the WordPress repository.

Or, inside WP Admin, you can go to Plugins (1) → Add New (2). Then enter LiteSpeed Cache into the search bar (3), as shown in the screenshot below. Click on the Install Now (4) button, to begin the installation of the plugin.

After you install the plugin, you need to Activate it.

Step 2. Log in to your WPX account.

To download the WPX recommended settings for the LiteSpeed Cache plugin, log in to your WPX account. You can log in to your WPX account here.

Step 3. Download WPX pre-configured settings.

Now that you’ve logged into your account, go to Support (1) → Downloads (2). You can also click here for the downloads page (you need to be logged in).

Now click on the LS Cache category. Read through the descriptions of the files and Download the settings you need to use on your site.

Step 4. Unzip (extract) the zipped file.

After you have downloaded the recommended settings to your computer, you need to unzip it.

Step 5. Upload the settings.

Return to your WordPress dashboard. From there, hover over the LiteSpeed Cache (1) menu at the left of your screen and select Toolbox (2).

Once you are in the Toolbox menu you need to select the Import / Export option (1) and then click on the Choose File (2):

Select the unzipped file with the recommended settings that you downloaded from WPX into the Import section and then click the Upload button.

Once you upload the unzipped settings you’ll receive the message that the importing was successful:

How can I clear the cache from the plugin?

Once you are in the Dashboard of the site you just need to hover over the LS Cache icon on the top (1) and then select the Purge all option (2) from the drop-down menu:
