Point your GoDaddy domain to WPX with Nameservers
If your domain is registered with GoDaddy, in order to point the site to your WPX server, you will need to change the Nameservers at GoDaddy.
To point your domain to WPX, please follow our simple, six-step process;
Firstly, you will need to log in to your GoDaddy account and go to the Domain Manager.
Select your domain name from the list to access the Domain Settings page.
Once you are on the Domain Settings page, scroll down to Additional Settings and select Manage DNS.
On the DNS Management page, navigate to the Nameservers section and press the Change button.
Once you are on the DNS Management page, you will need to select the Enter my own nameservers (advanced) option and add the name servers associated with your account.
The Nameservers settings window will then open. Here, select the Custom option if it’s not already selected;
If there are other Nameservers listed already, remove them and leave only two fields.
In these two fields, fill in the details for Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2.
You can find them in the Dashboard section of your WPX hosting panel. At the bottom of this menu, under Service Details, you’ll find the WPX Nameservers;
After you are sure that you have typed in the Nameservers correctly on GoDaddy, click OK and then Save. That’s it!
Keep in mind that if there were other nameservers previously set (not pointing to our servers), the time needed for a full DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours.
In some rare cases, it can take up to 72 hours.
If you get stuck with anything discussed on this page, please contact WPX Support via live chat (use the bottom right hand widget!) and they will usually respond and help within 30 seconds or less.
