When signing up with us, you will be asked to choose a primary/main domain for your hosting service.
If later on you would like to change that domain to another one (i.e. add a new website), that can easily be done.
Keep in mind however, that you cannot change your Main Domain to a website already hosted in your account (i.e. an existing site).
This means that the new main domain will have to be a completely new site or a migrated website from elsewhere.
In order to change the main domain, you must first to go to your hosting panel, which can be done via our website. Go to My
Services (1) → Scroll Down (2) → Service Management (3);
Note: The last step of choosing ‘Service Management’ is not shown on this screenshot, as it is in another page.
Once in the Hosting Panel, choose the Websites/SSL section from the menu on the left-hand side;
In this section you will see all of the websites that are currently hosted in your account.
The main website will be the first one listed and labeled “Main” in a green box on the left. Over on the right side of the domain name, choose the Settings option;
After selecting Settings, a pop-up menu will appear and inside you will find the option to change the domain (3).
All you have to do here is fill in the new domain in the text field and then choose Save Changes (4);
You’ve now changed your Primary Domain.
Disclaimer : Changing your main domain name from the panel will NOT change the database paths. You still have to run a “search and replace” through your database to have a functioning website under the new domain name.
