1. Login with your WPX account details and navigate to “Service Management” in this account.
2. By default, an SSL certificate is enabled – ready for installation BUT not yet installed – for every newly added website at WPX.
Therefore if you see the green padlock next to your website, you’re ready for the next step:
3. Now you can proceed with generating the Free SSL certificate in one simple step like this (in this tutorial we’ll use the free Let’s Encrypt SSL although you can use your commercial certificate if you have one):
And then you will see this popup screen, where you need to click on Install:
IMPORTANT: In order to install the free Let’s Encrypt SSL Certificate successfully, the domain name should ALREADY point to our servers!
From here on your request for the SSL Certificate is added in the Automation Queue and you will receive a notification in the top right corner when the task is completed.
So what’s next?
You would probably encounter an issue with Mixed Content which means that you’ll need to install Really Simple SSL and activate the plugin, the rest is done automatically by the plugin itself for you.
