I have sold my website to another WPX customer. Can you migrate it for me?

If you no longer need a specific website along with the domain name (if purchased through us), as they are no longer your property and it turns out that the buyer is also hosted at WPX – you shouldn’t worry about the migration process.

As long as we receive confirmation from both sides, our Migration Experts will initiate the migration and get back to you when it’s all set and done.

What do I have to do to get it started?

Contact us with the site you’d like to migrate (wp-admin details will be most helpful).

We’ll also need the email address or the name of the client we’re transferring the website. This way we can also get his confirmation and notify him about the ongoing activity.

Please make sure not to make any changes to the website during the migration, as that will surely affect the process. Some of the changes that you apply to the site during the transfer may not be transferred to the version of the new owner’s hosting plan.

When is migration complete?

Our Migration Experts will reach out to you with an email that we’ve completed the migration. We’ll offer to delete the website from the previous owner’s hosting plan. The new owner will receive a confirmation that the site now loads from his hosting services, if the site’s domain isn’t pointed to WPX, we’ll provide further instructions regarding DNS changes that should be applied.
