If you no longer need a specific website along with the domain name (if purchased through us), as they are no longer your property and it turns out that the buyer is also hosted at WPX – you shouldn’t worry about the migration process.
As long as we receive a confirmation from both sides, our Migration Experts will initiate the migration and get back to you when it’s all set and done.
What do I have to do to get it started?
Please make sure to contact us with the site you’d like to migrate (wp-admin details will be most useful). Please specify if you want to migrate You can do that by opening a support ticket or reaching out to us via our live chat.
We’ll also need the email address or the name of the client we’re transferring the website to. This way we can also get his confirmation and notify him about the ongoing activity.
When is migration complete?
Our Migration Experts will reach out to you with an email that we’ve successfully completed the migration. We’ll offer to delete the website from the previous owner’s hosting plan. The new owner will receive a confirmation that the site now loads from his hosting services, if the site’s domain isn’t pointed to WPX, we’ll provide further instructions regarding DNS changes that should be applied.
