How Email Verification Works For Domains (ICANN POLICY)


When you register a domain with WPX or transfer a domain name to us, you will receive a verification email

Please ALWAYS check your Spam folder if you have not seen this verification email.

This email is sent each time a new email address is added or changed in your domain registrant details. 

You will then have 15 days from the day that the verification email was sent to you to verify the email address, by clicking on a link in the verification email.

After the 15 day time period expires, your domain will be put on hold (i.e. suspended).

A reminder email then will be sent to you again, 3 days later.

The verification email will be sent from: domainsupport@wpx.net to your registrant email address.

The Subject of that email is the following: E-mail address verification initiated

You then need to click on the verification link (or copy/paste it into the browser address bar) to verify your email address.

Here is an example of the verification link that you will receive in those emails:

The link will start with https://verification.topdns.com/ and the there will be a randomly generated sequence for verification, at the end of the link you will see your email address and _verify.


Failure to verify your email address within 15 days from the date of the initial verification email will lead to the user account and domain names that use this address as registrant contact being suspended.

AND all of your domains that use the same email address will be put on hold if the email is not verified.

If you notice that your domain is put on hold and you cannot find your verification email, please contact us immediately. 

We will then resend the verification email so that you can verify your email address and activate your domain/s.

IMPORTANT: Do not forget to check your SPAM folder as well.
